Established in 1988 we are the only independent BME-led housing association in the East Midlands.\u202fOver 60% of our staff and Board are reflective of Nottingham\u2019s black and minority ethnic communities.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n
Our founders were community activists and professionals from Nottingham\u2019s black community, motivated by the desire to correct inequality in housing provision, to demonstrate black community self-help, to create economic opportunities and to help build social capital.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Today we provide homes and services for people from a diverse range of ethnic groups.<\/p>\n
Our Vision<\/strong><\/p>\n Our vision is to be a community-based housing association, passionate about building futures and empowering people in sustainable multi-cultural neighbourhoods.<\/p>\n Our Homes<\/strong><\/p>\n We manage over 1600 properties and provide homes for over 3000 people.<\/p>\n We work across 12 local authority areas throughout the East Midlands with the vast majority of our homes located in Nottingham.<\/p>\n We offer culturally sensitive support services\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n We provide accommodation and specialist housing services for older people, refugees, young mothers, people suffering with mental health difficulties and homeless young people.<\/p>\n We support communities\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n We also deliver a number of non-housing initiatives which add value to the lives of our customers and the communities in which we operate.
